Many favorite memories from Big Powderhorn. I’d have to say, all of them are family related since dad took us every day he could when he worked there.

My favorite had to be us kids (my brothers and I) making trails through the woods near lift 8 and 9. Getting chased out of the woods by ski patrol from time to time. But eventually our “crazy trail” made the map. We still like to come there every St. Patrick’s Day.

39 years ago, almost to the day, I spent my honeymoon at Big Powderhorn in the chalet, Stem Christie. My young hubby taught me to ski with words like “jump on, jump off, and just fall.” Happy to report we’re still married and I can ski a little better. This past weekend, I returned with my lovely granddaughter, Olivia and enjoyed Big Powderhorn Mountain once again.

It was a very cold weekday and we had the entire resort to ourselves, literally not another skier or boarder in sight. My husband was doing laps on Cannonball and I was making all these pretty lines on Bovidae. It’s still my favorite trail at Big Powderhorn Mountain Resort.

My wife and I’s first trip in 2022! Rented a cabin with friends and family right on the hill and were able to ski right out! One of the best vacations I’ve ever had!
