Adventure is in our bones here at Big Powderhorn and our team is dedicated to giving every guest an authentic and enjoyable experience with friends and family on our hill.

We’re tucked away in the Gogebic Range of Michigan’s beautiful Upper Peninsula. Your memories in the Northwoods begin with 200 inches of fresh fallen snow a year, 253 acres of skiable terrain, 45 breathtaking runs locally made and groomed, and a friendly and welcoming staff. It’s all why you come back.

While we are best known for our winter sports amenities, the beauty of our region and list of outdoor recreation activities extends to all seasons! We are happy to offer lodging and event space to guests enjoying the U.P. wilderness throughout the warmer months as well.

Our team is here to help support you in your outdoor adventure pursuit by facilitating your sport passions, extending help through gear and lessons when needed, and offering the space to make valuable memories. We hope to give a sense of relief from everyday life through a stay on our mountain.
