Mountain Biking near Big Powderhorn Mountain
Copper Peak Mountain Bike Trails
Just minutes from Big Powderhorn Mountain on Black River Road, the Copper Peak Mountain Bike Trails offer a great Upper Peninsula mountain bike experience to mountain bike riders of all abilities. The ride is not strictly a “technical” trail system, but it is made fun, challenging, and exciting by 600 feet of elevation gain over the 5.5-mile Upper Peninsula mountain bike trail system, located just down the road from Big Powderhorn Mountain.
Your Upper Peninsula mountain bike vacation begins at the base of the ski jump landing hill and descends downhill to the beautiful Black River to enjoy the river scenery. From there, winding singletrack leads you on a 600-vertical foot mountain bike ascent to the top of the Copper Peak ski jump, where you can take in the beautiful 360-degree view and have a look at the massive ski jump structure. Rest up for an exhilarating mountain bike descent back down to the base of the hill, with dozens of bermed corners and many fun “play” features along the mountain bike trail down the hillside and back to the base area.
