Wolverine Nordic Ski Trails
The Wolverine Nordic Ski Trails, adjacent to Big Powderhorn Mountain and maintained by volunteers with the Wolverine Nordic Ski Club, offer 24K of cross country ski trails including several loops for classic and skate skiing located conveniently near Ironwood and Bessemer in the Big Snow Country of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. There are also 14K of marked snowshoe trails and 7K of snow bike trails. The rolling terrain offers trails for all levels of skiing, snowshoeing, snow biking hiking, and trail running.
The Wolverine cross country ski trail system is not maintained by Big Powderhorn Mountain, but by volunteers with the Wolverine Nordic Ski Club, Inc.
CROSS COUNTRY SKI RENTAL: The Big Powderhorn Mountain Resort rental department (located in the main Gun Barrel Lodge) rents cross country skis during the winter ski season.
