Black River Harbor

Located just down the Black River Scenic Byway from Big Powderhorn Mountain Resort, Black River Harbor is known for its hiking trails, spectacular waterfalls, idyllic beaches, scenic hiking trails, swimming, rock picking (Black River Harbor’s rocks are known across the Western Upper Peninsula for their good agate hunting), and Lake Superior boat harbor.

The North Country Trail passes through Black River Harbor on it’s way east towards the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness and passes many scenic and pristine old growth hemlock-hardwood forests, deep ravines and rivers, waterfalls – a true hiker’s paradise!
